COMMUNITY LED ACTION for NOCTON (CLAN)
Nocton is a large rural parish with a relatively small population spread throughout several distinct settlements: the village centre/Nocton Park, Nocton Rise/Lincoln Road/Grange Lane and Wasps Nest (Nocton Fen). The area comprises farmland and woodland, with a scattering of local, small businesses. The village hall (incorporating the Social Club), Nocton Community Primary School, All Saints Church and the Post Office are all in the centre of the village. There is also a residential care home in the grounds of Nocton Hall.
CLAN was initiated by 2 like minded individuals walking one day along the Bridle Way. They shared a vision of Nocton in the future. Since then, that idea has blossomed into a pro-active community organisation. CLAN was officially launched on 4th September 2011,allowing the wider community to become further involved with its development.
